Job summary

Valvian, a Lisbon-based biotechnology company, seeks a Senior Researcher Biotechnology focused on age-related disorders. The role is hands-on in the lab, driving experiments on cellular senescence, immune modulation and aging pathways to strengthen the longevity pipeline.

The candidate will collaborate with AI and multi-omics teams, generate mechanistic data, and contribute to preclinical programs. PhD required with strong wet-lab experience and data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant life sciences field is required.
• 3–7 years of hands-on research, preferably in aging biology or immunology.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute in vitro experiments on senescence, inflammaging and immune function.
• Perform assays including flow cytometry, cytokine profiling, and transcriptomics prep.
• Analyse data, document results, and support biomarker exploration.
• Collaborate with AI and multi-omics teams and provide curated data.
• Support preclinical program development and data packages for reviews.
