Champalimaud Foundation in Lisbon, Portugal, invites applications for a post-doctoral fellow in the Cancer Dormancy & Immunity Lab headed by Ana Luísa Correia. The project explores how neural signals shape immune responses during metastasis and how the neuro-immune interface can be leveraged for anti-metastatic therapies.
Candidates will use in vivo mouse models, advanced immunology techniques, single-cell sequencing, spatial transcriptomics and related approaches in a multidisciplinary
Champalimaud Foundation
Lisbon, Portugal
The Cancer Dormancy & Immunity Lab headed by Ana Luísa Correia is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral candidate to join us on a project supported by an AACR Trailblazer grant.
We seek candidates eager to drive significant advances in the area of cancer neuroimmunology, particularly on elucidating how neural signals shape immune responses during the formation of metastasis and harnessing the neuro-immune interface into improved anti-metastatic therapies. The fellow will use a multidisciplinary approach that includes in vivo models of metastasis, conditional mouse genetics, neuronal tracing, chemogenetic manipulation of neuronal populations, spectral flow cytometry, imaging, single-cell RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, and functional neuro-immune assays.
National, foreign or stateless candidates with relevant technical training and/or professional experience in engineering, audiovisual/media technology, technical production, electronics, computer systems, interactive installations or related areas, and a professional profile appropriate to the activities described in this call, are eligible to apply. Practical experience and demonstrated ownership of complex technical systems will be given substantial consideration.
