Job summary

emagine is seeking a Data Engineer specialized in SAP data platforms to design and build scalable data products. You will work with SAP Datasphere, SAP S/4HANA integration, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric to support reporting and analytics across the enterprise.

You will collaborate with finance, supply chain, and sales to translate requirements into robust data solutions, ensure data quality, governance, and create analytical datasets consumed by SAC and Power BI.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or SAP data modeling.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere plus BDC.
• Experience integrating data from SAP S/4HANA.
• Solid understanding of SAP data models (FI/CO, SD, MM, etc.)
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of data transformation logic.

Working with SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI, you will help transform complex data into trusted, business-ready products that support reporting, planning, and advanced analytics across the enterprise.

In this role, you will typically focus on:

• Design and implement data models and data products in SAP Datasphere
• Build and optimize cloud-native data pipelines from SAP S/4HANA and other SAP/non-SAP sources
• Integrate SAP data into the broader cloud data platform (Databricks, Microsoft Fabric)
• Develop analytical datasets consumed by SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and Power BI
• Ensure high data quality, consistency, and governance across SAP and enterprise data assets
• Collaborate with business stakeholders (finance, supply chain, sales) to translate requirements into scalable data solutions

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or SAP data modeling
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere plus BDC
• Experience integrating data from SAP S/4HANA
• Solid understanding of SAP data models (FI/CO, SD, MM, etc.)

It will be considered an advantage if you also have:

• Experience with SAP Business Data Cloud (or similar SAP cloud integration frameworks)
• Hands-on experience with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake) or Microsoft Fabric
• Experience with end-to-end data pipelines beyond SAP (ELT/ETL frameworks)
• Familiarity with Lakehouse architecture and medallion design patterns
• Experience with data governance and master data (e.g., SAP MDG/MDQ)
• Knowledge of planning processes (finance or supply chain)
