Consort Group in Lisbon seeks a Senior SAP Business Objects Data Engineer to design, evolve, and optimize SAP BO platforms, ensuring reliable reporting in a large international setting.

You will build universes, migrate and upgrade SAP BO, manage security, automate deployments, and run production systems while collaborating with global teams. This role offers a hybrid work model in Lisbon and a challenging, impactful BI environment.

Qualificações

• At least 7 years of experience with SAP technologies and BI environments.
• Capability to design, evolve and optimize SAP BO platforms for large enterprises.
• Experience with IDs, universes, migrations, and security configurations.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and evolve SAP BO universes (UNV/UNX) across DEV/REC/UAT/PROD.
• Lead migrations, upgrades, and architecture deployments; manage security models.
• Build robust data pipelines and optimize BO queries for performance.
• Maintain SAP BO platforms, monitor performance, and troubleshoot incidents.
• Participate in post-go-live support, disaster recovery, and governance.

Senior SAP Business Objects Data Engineer

This is your mission

Are you passionate about data platforms, SAP Business Objects ecosystems, and enterprise-scale BI transformations? Then this position is for you.

As a Senior SAP Business Objects , you will be responsible for designing, evolving, and optimizing SAP Business Objects platforms while ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of critical reporting environments within a large international organization.

Build side:

• Design, develop, and evolve SAP Business Objects universes (UNV and UNX).
• Lead SAP BO migration and upgrade projects, including major-version transformations.
• Build and optimize high-performance data pipelines supporting reporting and analytics.
• Implement SAP BO architectures across DEV, REC, UAT, and PROD environments.
• Configure users, groups, roles, and security models within SAP BO.
• Automate deployments and promotion processes across environments.
• Design robust data models and optimize complex BO queries.
• Migrate and rebuild universes using Information Design Tool (IDT).
• Produce architecture documentation, migration procedures, and governance standards.

Run side:

• Maintain and administer enterprise SAP Business Objects platforms.
• Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot incidents.
• Perform root-cause analysis and resolve critical production issues.
• Support backup, restore, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies.
• Conduct functional, regression, performance, and security testing activities.
• Analyze audit logs and platform usage metrics.
• Support database connectivity across heterogeneous technologies.
• Participate in post-go-live support and hypercare activities.
• Ensure platform stability and continuous service improvement.

This is your background

You have at least 7 years of experience working with SAP technologies and enterprise Business Intelligence environments.

You thrive in complex technical ecosystems, enjoy solving large-scale data and reporting challenges, and are motivated by modernization and transformation projects. You are looking for an environment where your expertise can have a direct impact on critical business operations.

• SQL performance tuning and query optimization
• Python scripting and automation
• Data visualization and analytics tools (Power BI, Alteryx, Dataiku)
• Backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and performance optimization methodologies
• Experience within large enterprise BI environments supporting hundreds or thousands of users
