act digital is seeking a Senior SAP BusinessObjects (SAP BO) Engineer to join a long-term project focused on enterprise data platforms, reporting environments, and large-scale SAP BO migrations. This role will design and maintain SAP BO architectures, support migrations, optimize data models, and ensure stability and performance of critical reporting solutions.

Hybrid 2 to 3 days per week onsite in Lisbon. English fluency is mandatory.

Qualificações

• Minimum 7 years of experience with SAP technologies.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects (SAP BO).
• Strong experience with SAP BO platform administration, upgrades, and migrations.
• Deep understanding of SAP BO architecture and core components.
• Proven experience migrating large Universes (UDT to IDT).
• Solid database expertise with SQL optimization.
• Strong Linux administration knowledge.
• Experience deploying SAP BO landscapes across DEV/REC/UAT/PROD environments.

Senior SAP BusinessObjects (SAP BO) Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP BusinessObjects (SAP BO) Engineer to join a long-term project focused on enterprise data platforms, reporting environments, and large-scale SAP BO migrations. This role will be responsible for designing and maintaining SAP BO architectures, supporting complex migrations, optimizing data models, and ensuring the stability and performance of critical reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable data architectures and SAP BO environments.
• Create, evolve, and optimize SAP BusinessObjects Universes.
• Design and support high-performance data pipelines and reporting solutions.
• Manage SAP BO security, including users, groups, roles, and access controls.
• Participate in SAP BO platform upgrades and major migration initiatives (BO4 to BO5).
• Migrate and rebuild complex UNV universes into UNX universes using Information Design Tool (IDT).
• Automate release and deployment processes across development, testing, and production environments.
• Install, configure, and support SAP BO environments running on Linux.
• Perform database optimization and query performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot critical incidents, analyze logs, and resolve performance issues.
• Execute functional, regression, performance, and security testing activities.
• Produce technical documentation, operational procedures, governance standards, and migration runbooks.
• Support post-go-live activities and hypercare phases.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 7 years of experience working with SAP technologies.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects (SAP BO).
• Strong experience with SAP BO platform administration, upgrades, and migrations.
• Deep understanding of SAP BO architecture and core components, including: Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Auditing, Promotion Management, Lifecycle Management
• Proven experience migrating large and complex Universes from UDT to IDT.
• Strong knowledge of: Tables, joins, contexts, aliases, derived tables, parameters, and security profiles
• Universe dependencies, reports, schedules, and data sources
• Experience implementing and managing SAP BO security: Users, groups, and roles
• Row-level and object-level security
• Folder security and access profiles
• Solid database expertise, including data modelling and SQL optimization.
• Experience with databases such as: SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2, SAP Sybase
• Strong Linux administration knowledge.
• Experience deploying and configuring enterprise SAP BO landscapes across DEV, REC, UAT, and PROD environments.
• Knowledge of backup, restore, disaster recovery, high availability, and performance tuning strategies.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise SAP BI environments supporting hundreds or thousands of users and reports.
• Python knowledge is considered valuable.
• Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, Dataiku, or similar analytics and visualization platforms is a plus.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management, or related field.
