Job summary

iTRTech Group is seeking a Senior GSM-R Optimization Engineer for a fully remote role. You will enhance radio coverage, quality, and reliability across railway networks, collaborating with planning, implementation, and operations teams to meet safety and operational requirements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in GSM/R optimization, strong GSM-R architecture knowledge, and experience with KPI monitoring and drive-test analysis.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of GSM/GSM‑R optimization experience.
• Strong knowledge of GSM‑R architecture and railway standards.
• Experience in coverage, capacity optimization, handover optimization and interference analysis.
• English proficiency at B2+ level or above.
• Knowledge of ETCS and ERTMS environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform GSM-R optimization covering coverage, quality, capacity, and interference analysis.
• Monitor network KPIs, analyze drive test results, and post-process measurement data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Investigate and resolve radio performance issues affecting railway operations.
• Prepare optimization recommendations and reports, supporting customer discussions and project reviews.
