Job summary

Critical Software is seeking a Senior Product Manager to shape the rail product portfolio and drive software-defined, data-driven offerings that complement our certified portfolio. You will own the vision, roadmap, and commercial accountability, taking solutions from concept to market and ensuring safety and reliability in daily train operations.

You will define opportunities, build business cases, and coordinate with engineering, safety, and certification teams to deliver market-ready products.

Qualifications

• Proven track record taking new products from zero to market in a regulated or safety-critical domain.
• Familiarity with certification processes (EN 50126/50129/50716, DO-178, IEC 62443, or equivalent).
• Experience with software-defined, connected or data-driven products; cloud/edge, cybersecurity or AI for operations.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap, balancing certification milestones, customer commitments, and long-term strategy.
• Identify and validate new product opportunities through market and competitive analysis and customer discovery.
• Own the business case, pricing and P&L for each product line, from concept to first paying customers.
• Build go-to-market strategy with commercial and business development on positioning, pricing, and partnerships.
• Coordinate a small team with leadership access—align with engineering, safety, and certification teams.
