Job summary

Critical Software is shaping the future of rail by delivering certified, safety-critical solutions for train control and operations. This role focuses on owning product roadmaps, business cases, and go-to-market strategies across a portfolio of software-driven products.

You will work closely with engineering, safety and certification teams to align product decisions with regulatory requirements and market needs.

Qualifications

• Proven track record taking new products from zero to market in regulated or safety-critical environments.
• Familiarity with certification processes (EN 50126/50129/50716, DO-178, IEC 62443 or equivalent).
• Experience with software-defined, connected or data-driven products; exposure to cloud/edge, cybersecurity or AI in operations.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap balancing certification milestones, customer commitments, and long-term strategy.
• Identify and validate new product opportunities; translate needs into requirements across portfolio.
• Own business cases, pricing and P&L; take products from concept to first paying customers.
• Build go-to-market strategies in collaboration with commercial and business development teams.
• Coordinate a small team with leadership access; align decisions with engineering, safety and certification teams.
