Job summary

Critical Software, based in Portugal, seeks a Senior Product Manager to define the rail portfolio and take products from concept to market, balancing certification, safety, and commercial goals.

You will own the roadmap, coordinate with engineering, safety and certification teams, and build go-to-market plans with the commercial and BD teams. This is a role for someone who wants to shape new, data-driven offerings that keep trains and passengers safe.

Qualifications

• Experience taking products from concept to market in regulated or safety-critical domains.
• Familiarity with certification processes (e.g., EN standards, DO-178, IEC 62443).
• Experience with software-defined, connected or data‑driven products; cloud/edge and AI in operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap balancing certification milestones and customer commitments.
• Identify and validate new product opportunities and shape the full portfolio.
• Own business case, pricing and P&L for each product line and take it to first paying customers.
• Build go-to-market strategy with pricing and partnerships.
• Coordinate a small team with leadership to align product decisions with engineering and certification teams.
