Wire IT, based in Portugal, seeks a Senior QA Engineer for a hybrid role in Lisbon. You will drive test automation using Playwright or Cypress, ensure quality across complex trading/finance projects, and collaborate within an Agile environment. A strong SDLC understanding and hands-on testing are essential.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in QA, finance familiarity, and proficiency with JIRA/Xray for defect tracking and test management in a fast-moving market.

Role: Senior QA Engineer

Location: Hybrid, Lisbon, Portugal

Required skills:

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in software testing and QA, including significant experience in test automation.
• Significative experience with automated testing tools (Playwright, Cypress)
• A background in Finance or familiarity with Trade finance activities is essential.
• Experience in large-scale or complex projects, preferably in trading or financial services.
• Familiarity with Trade Finance activities is a strong advantage (guarantees, documentary credits, collections, loans, import/export operations).
• Strong understanding of thesoftware development lifecycle SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Solid experience infunctional and regression testing, integration testing, and defect management.
• Hands-on experience withPlaywrightfor automated testing (mandatory or to be quickly acquired if experience with other automated testing tools (e.g. Selenium, Cypress).
• Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, Xray or similar).
• Ability to design test frameworks, manage test data.
• Good understanding of web technologies (HTTP, REST APIs, browser behavior) and basic database concepts (SQL queries for verification)
