AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Python Developer to build and scale an event-driven integration platform, including APIs, resilience mechanisms, and AI-facing integrations.

You will design contract-first interfaces with OpenAPI and AsyncAPI, work with Kafka, and apply testing, CI/CD, and distributed systems debugging. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and a focus on reliability and performance.

Qualifikationen

• At least 4 years of production experience with Python, including typed, tested services and APIs.
• Experience with event-driven and asynchronous architecture, messaging and durable logs.
• REST API design and practical OpenAPI/AsyncAPI experience.
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka or equivalent streaming platforms.

Aufgaben

• Build and evolve the backbone Python service handling event taxonomy and durable replayable logs.
• Design and maintain interfaces using OpenAPI and AsyncAPI.
• Develop the platform's resilience mechanisms to ensure recoverability during vendor outages.
• Create multiple access patterns over the async core for different consumer needs.
• Own end-to-end quality including code reviews, testing, observability, and production support.
