Wire IT, based in Portugal and operating remotely, seeks a Principal Python Engineer to drive cutting-edge AI-enabled applications. The role emphasizes Python expertise, API design (FastAPI), and hands-on cloud work across Azure and AWS within a distributed, senior team.

You will shape architectural decisions, implement scalable solutions, and mentor peers in a fast-moving, international consulting environment. Excellent English required and remote collaboration across time zones.

Qualificações

• 10+ years working with Python.
• Experience building with APIs (ideally FastAPI).
• Expertise with Terraform, Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience building AI-enabled applications, particularly in recommendation or conversational systems.
• Hands-on experience with evaluation frameworks for LLM or AI systems.
• Clear understanding of how AI systems differ from traditional deterministic systems.
• Experience with Azure Cloud.
• Plus: Typescript, EKS, AWS.
• Great level of English.
