EPAM Systems in Portugal is seeking a Senior Python Backend Engineer to join a fully remote team. You will design and build backend services (Python, Flask/FastAPI) for a data-driven supply chain analytics platform, delivering scalable, secure APIs and robust data integrations.

The role emphasizes cloud-native architecture, performance tuning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions in an agile environment.

Qualificações

• Strong Python backend development with Flask or FastAPI.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating backend systems.
• SQL and relational DB design; Postgres preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced team.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop backend services using Python (Flask or FastAPI)
• Create and maintain APIs for data integration across platform modules
• Implement database models and queries using Postgres and OpenSearch
• Ensure application reliability, performance optimization, and security in cloud-based environments
• Collaborate with frontend developers, data engineering teams, and product stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Support data workflows, integration patterns, and backend automation features
• Contribute to CI/CD practices and maintain clean, tested, and maintainable code
• Operate in an agile and fast-evolving environment, taking initiative and ownership of deliverables
