Gleeds is seeking a Professional Project Manager to lead tenant fit-out delivery for a data centre campus in Sines, Portugal. The role requires on-site presence five days a week and experience in mission-critical environments.

You will coordinate contractors, manage programmes, and ensure compliance with client requirements and regulations. Responsibilities include reporting on progress, managing risks, and guiding handover documentation.

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

• Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
• Delivering high-quality services and ensuring project management deliverables meet Customers’ requirements and procedures.
• Managing all stages of tenant fit-out projects to practical completion and handover.
• Coordinating general contractors and specialist suppliers for MEP and fit-out packages.
• Developing and maintaining project programmes with milestones and tenant requirements.
• Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks during construction.
• Leading project meetings and communicating with all stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance with contract terms and building regulations.
• Preparing progress reports highlighting issues, risks and actions.
• Managing quality assurance and ensuring works meet specifications.
• Coordinating site activities, logistics, and interfaces between work packages.
• Supporting handover, including operation and maintenance documentation.

Professional Project Manager, responsible for the successful delivery of tenant fit-out works on a data centre campus.

Location: Sines, Portugal. This role requires being on-site during the work week. No rotation or fly-in/fly-out arrangement applies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
• Delivering high-quality services and ensuring that project management deliverables meet Customers’ requirements and business procedures.
• Managing all stages of tenant fit-out projects to practical completion and handover.
• Coordinating general contractors and specialist suppliers to deliver mechanical, electrical, architectural, and specialist fit-out packages.
• Developing and maintaining project programmes, ensuring key milestones and tenant requirements are achieved.
• Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks throughout the construction phase.
• Leading project meetings and maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance with contract terms, building regulations, and client-specific requirements.
• Preparing regular progress reports, highlighting issues, risks, and recommended actions.
• Managing quality assurance processes and ensuring works meet the agreed specifications and standards.
• Coordinating site activities, logistics, and interfaces between different work packages.
• Supporting the handover process, including the preparation of operation and maintenance documentation.
• Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

• Relevant experience managing fit-out scope within data centre or mission-critical environments.
• Knowledge of technical requirements applied to the construction sector.
• Detailed knowledge of project management techniques.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.
• Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Professional level of English.
• Right to work in Portugal.
• Available to work in Sines 5 days per week (no rotation applies).
