Job summary

ITDS Porto-based client, a leading banking group, seeks a Senior Power BI Developer to design and implement enterprise dashboards and data models that enable strategic insights for financing applications.

You will optimize SQL queries, develop advanced DAX calculations and time intelligence, and guide junior developers while ensuring governance and high-performance dashboards in a hybrid Porto environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or Data Analytics with a focus on Microsoft BI Stack.
• Strong SQL skills with CTEs, subqueries, JOINs, and aggregations.
• Expert-level DAX and time intelligence for complex business logic.
• Deep understanding of Power BI ecosystem including Desktop, Service, gateway, RLS, and workspace management.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models aligning with business needs.
• Write and optimize advanced SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from diverse source systems.
• Develop dynamic SQL queries for historical data retrieval using time-series logic and date filters.
• Integrate custom parameters into SQL within Power BI to enhance data load performance.
• Author, optimize, and maintain complex DAX calculations, implementing advanced time intelligence and nested measures.
• Troubleshoot and tune report performance, ensuring efficient dashboard refreshes and query execution.
• Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and best practices to junior and mid-level developers, fostering governance.

• Develop dynamic SQL queries for historical data retrieval using time-series logic and date filters.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or Data Analytics, with a strong focus on Microsoft BI Stack.
• Mastery of SQL, including CTEs, subqueries, JOINs, UNIONs, and aggregation functions.
• Expert-level DAX skills, capable of complex business logic implementation.
• In-depth understanding of Power BI ecosystem: Desktop, Service, gateway, RLS, and workspace management.
• Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or similar certification (preferred).

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Proficiency in French to collaborate with French-speaking stakeholders.
