Job summary

Amadeus is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable platform services underpinning software products. You will improve platform stability, automation, and productivity for on‑premises or cloud environments.

Ideal candidates have deep Linux, networking, and infra architecture experience across diverse environments, plus strong automation, IaC, and CI/CD tooling, and containers.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in platform, infrastructure, system or cloud engineering within large-scale environments.
• Proven ability to operate production platforms with incident management and automation.
• Strong Linux systems, networking, and infra architecture across on‑prem, virtual and cloud.
• Expertise in automation and IaC (Terraform), observability (Prometheus, Grafana), security/DevSecOps tooling (Sonar, Black Duck), Artifactory and CI/CD pipelines.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with containers and orchestration.

Senior Platform Engineer

Summary

We are looking for a Platform Engineer, who will be responsible for designing, building, and operating reliable, secure, and scalable platform services that underpin software products. The role focuses on improving platform stability, automation, and engineering productivity either for on-premises or cloud-based solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate infrastructure and platform components (on‑premise and cloud) to ensure high availability, security, and performance.

• Develop and maintain automation for provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and day‑to‑day platform operations.

• Act as a senior technical contributor, identifying improvement opportunities, managing technical risks, and supporting platform evolution and cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate

• Solid experience in platform, infrastructure, system, or cloud engineering roles within complex, large‑scale environments.

• Proven experience operating production platforms, including incident management, automation, and continuous improvement activities.

• Solid expertise in Linux systems, networking fundamentals, and infrastructure architecture across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.

• Strong experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code (such as Terraform), observability/monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana), security / DevSecOps tooling (Sonar, Blackduck), Artifact & repository management (JFrog Artifactory) and CI/CD (GitLab, Jenkins) pipelines supporting platform operation.

• Solid knowledge of Scripting & automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

• Experience with Containers & orchestration
