Devexperts, Porto, Portugal, seeks a skilled Database Administrator to manage Oracle and PostgreSQL environments, ensuring high availability and security. You design structures, optimize queries, implement backups, and work with developers and IT staff to maintain documentation and upgrades.

The role requires hands-on experience with Oracle 19c, PostgreSQL 13+, RMAN, Data Guard, and Enterprise Manager, plus a proactive approach to performance tuning and automation. Hybrid work is available.

Qualificações

• At least 4 years IT experience and 2+ years in a similar role.
• Installation and administration of Oracle DB 19c and PostgreSQL 13+.
• High availability environments (Failover or RAC).
• Disaster Recovery environments (Data Guard).
• Backup and restore using RMAN.
• Hands-on experience with tablespaces, indexes, partitions, and query performance tuning.
• Oracle Enterprise Manager experience.
• Docker management experience.
• Liquibase for DB schema changes.
• Automation tasks experience.
• Unix/Windows administration and basic networking knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Manage, monitor, and optimise Oracle and PostgreSQL databases for performance, availability, and security.
• Design and implement database structures based on business requirements.
• Identify and resolve performance issues and optimise queries.
• Develop backup and recovery strategies to protect data and support DR capabilities.
• Implement and maintain database security measures.
• Collaborate with developers and IT staff and provide user support.
• Create and maintain documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Plan and execute database upgrades and apply patches.
