Olisipo is looking for a Senior Oracle DBA to join a team handling highly complex Oracle environments with a focus on performance, resource optimisation and project delivery. The candidate should have 5–10 years of Oracle Database experience in production settings, solid tuning skills, and familiarity with RAC, Data Guard, RMAN and OEM.

Hybrid work in Lisbon is offered, with eligibility to work in Portugal. English at C1 level is essential, and knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Optimise the performance of Oracle databases through query tuning, indexing, and compression techniques.
• Optimise CPU utilisation in ExaCC environments, maximising resource efficiency.
• Optimise backup and recovery processes in ZFS and ZDLRA environments.
• Carry out root cause analysis of performance incidents and complex database issues.
• Support and lead migration projects to Kerberos authentication and Oracle Client upgrades.
• Collaborate with development teams to define best practices for database design, SQL, performance and scalability.
• Ensure access controls, TDE, auditing and high-quality documentation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, development and project teams on multidisciplinary initiatives.
• Contribute to Azure SQL, PostgreSQL and Synapse environments as needed.

We are looking for a Senior Oracle DBA to join a team specialising in highly complex Oracle environments, with a focus on performance, resource optimisation and project delivery.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a similar field;


• 5 to 10 years of experience with Oracle Database in production environments;


• Solid experience in Oracle performance tuning, SQL/PL/SQL and resource optimisation;


• Knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN and OEM;


• Experience with ExaCC/Exadata would be an advantage, as would ZFS and ZDLRA;


• Knowledge of Linux/Unix;


• Experience with Kerberos, TDE, auditing and database security;


• Knowledge of Azure SQL, PostgreSQL or Synapse would be an asset;


• C1 level English essential; French and/or Dutch would be an advantage;


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders;


• Oracle OCP certification would be an advantage;


• Availability for a hybrid working type in Lisbon and legal eligibility to work in Portugal.
