Olisipo is looking for a Senior Oracle DBA to join a team handling highly complex Oracle environments with a focus on performance, resource optimisation and project delivery. The candidate should have 5–10 years of Oracle Database experience in production settings, solid tuning skills, and familiarity with RAC, Data Guard, RMAN and OEM.

Hybrid work in Lisbon is offered, with eligibility to work in Portugal. English at C1 level is essential, and knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar field.

Responsabilidades

• Optimise the performance of Oracle databases through query tuning, indexing, and compression techniques.
• Optimise CPU utilisation in ExaCC environments, maximising resource efficiency.
• Optimise backup and recovery processes in ZFS and ZDLRA environments.
• Carry out root cause analysis of performance incidents and complex database issues.
• Support and lead migration projects to Kerberos authentication and Oracle Client upgrades.
• Collaborate with development teams to define best practices for database design, SQL, performance and scalability.
• Ensure access controls, TDE, auditing and high-quality documentation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, development and project teams on multidisciplinary initiatives.
• Contribute to Azure SQL, PostgreSQL and Synapse environments as needed.
