Job summary

act digital in Lisbon is seeking an experienced .NET Developer to design, build and support cloud-based enterprise applications and integration services. You will work with a collaborative team on scalable microservices and modern Azure solutions.

In this hybrid role, you will design, develop and maintain backend services using C# and .NET, build cloud-native solutions on Azure, and manage containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building backend services and microservices.
• Hands-on with C#/NET Core and Azure.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with message queues and service bus (Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Ability to work in a hybrid Lisbon-area team and communicate in English and Portuguese.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and microservice architectures using C# and .NET.
• Build and support cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Integrate services through Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Contribute to API design, application reliability, CI/CD and production troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with frontend, architecture and delivery teams; contribute to Blazor or Angular components where needed.

Required skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with C# and .NET Core / .NET 8.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining microservices in production.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with messaging platforms such as Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Portuguese and professional English (B2 or higher).
• Ability to work full‑time in a hybrid schedule with 2 on‑site days per week in Saldanha, Lisbon.

Nice to have

• Blazor or Angular.
• Unit testing with NUnit, xUnit or equivalent.
• Experience in the energy or banking sector.
