Jobtailor in Porto, Portugal, seeks a Senior .NET Engineer to design and evolve scalable distributed C# solutions in Azure, owning architecture through production support.

You will implement CI/CD with Azure DevOps, use Terraform for IaC, and apply observability tools while collaborating with tech leads, QA, and product teams. Strong English required; 5+ years of experience and leadership across teams desired.

Qualificações

5+ years of professional software engineering experience with production systems at scale.
Deep proficiency in C# and modern .NET development.
Strong experience designing and deploying solutions in an Azure Cloud environment.
Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and scalable architecture patterns.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies (Azure DevOps).
Demonstrated experience owning the design of distributed systems and leading engineers across teams without direct authority.
Proven ability to mentor and elevate other engineers through pairing and code review.
Strong testing practices across unit, integration, and UI automation; rigorous code reviews.
Experience in Agile delivery teams with ownership of technical outcomes.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
Fluent English, B2 minimum.

Requirements

5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven track record operating production systems at scale
Deep proficiency in C# and modern .NET development
Strong experience designing and deploying solutions in an Azure Cloud environment
Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and scalable architecture patterns
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies (Azure DevOps)
Demonstrated experience owning the design of distributed systems and leading engineers across teams without direct authority
Proven ability to mentor and elevate other engineers through pairing and code review
Strong testing practices across unit, integration, and UI automation, with thorough code review habits
Experience working in Agile delivery teams with ownership of technical outcomes
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Fluent English, B2 (Upper Intermediate) minimum — required
Experience with React, HTML, CSS/SCSS for front-end collaboration (preferred)
Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments (preferred)
Experience with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or Azure Application Insights (preferred)
Experience using AI-assisted development tooling, e.g. GitHub Copilot and MCP servers (preferred)
Hands‑on experience with Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code (preferred)
