Job summary

act digital is seeking a senior technical lead to drive complex .NET projects in a hybrid Porto setup. You will mentor engineers, shape cloud-native architectures, and enforce best practices across microservices and DevOps pipelines.

You will collaborate closely with product owners and stakeholders, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-quality software delivery while staying ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience with 5+ years in .NET.
• Proven leadership experience mentoring software developers.
• Strong knowledge of .NET technologies including ASP.NET.
• Experience designing microservices and applying design patterns.
• Cloud computing experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Docker and Kubernetes hands-on for containerisation and orchestration.
• DevOps practices including CI/CD, Gitflow and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• API security best practices and data privacy.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to conduct code reviews and define architectural solutions.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead on complex .NET projects ensuring delivery quality and scalability.
• Lead the technical execution of a development squad or cross-functional team.
• Provide hands-on guidance, mentoring and resolving technical challenges.
• Design robust, scalable cloud solutions and define best practices.
• Promote software engineering patterns and microservices principles.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to align tech decisions with business needs.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to critical feature implementation.
• Ensure quality, security and maintainability of software solutions.
• Identify technical debt and drive continuous improvements to codebase and processes.
• Support timely resolution of client issues and SLA adherence.
• Promote DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for onboarding and maintenance.
• Foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.
• Stay current with emerging tech and industry best practices.
