You will be responsible for the administration, security, governance, and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365 collaboration services, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365 Copilot across the enterprise. This role partners closely with Identity, Security, Compliance, and Infrastructure teams to implement access controls, data protection measures, and platform standards, while leading automation and migration initiatives to enhance service efficiency and user experience. The position also serves as the senior technical escalation point for complex issues and provides guidance and mentoring to Level 1 and Level 2 support teams.
Administer and govern Microsoft 365 collaboration tools — SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365 Copilot — including adoption, and usage oversight.
Design and implement platform security and governance controls: permissions and sharing policies, conditional access alignment, sensitivity labels, DLP, and retention policies, in partnership with Security and Compliance teams.
Assess the collaboration impact of Microsoft Entra configurations, including Microsoft 365 Groups, B2B guest access, application permissions, Conditional Access, and authentication dependencies.
Monitor platform health, performance, compliance posture, and governance risks, including permission drift, unmanaged sharing, inactive and ownerless and workspaces; coordinate remediation activities with workspace owners and relevant control functions.
Evaluate requirements and recommend configurations, guiding stakeholders on integrating third-party and custom solutions into the M365 ecosystem.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex, cross-team incidents, collaborating with Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, and Application teams.
Act as a technical mentor and escalation point for Level 1/2 teams, maintaining technical documentation, operational runbooks, configuration standards, architecture diagrams, knowledge base content, and providing coaching and knowledge transfer to strengthen team capability.
Review Microsoft Message center and roadmap changes, assess technical and operational impact, coordinate testing, and support stakeholder communications.
Manage escalation to Microsoft and third-party suppliers when platform incidents or defects require vendor involvement.
Deep, hands-on experience administering Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business: architecture, governance, and day-to-day operational support.
In-depth understanding of the content collaboration and productivity landscape within M365, with a platform-ownership mindset and strong attention to detail.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID as it relates to collaboration services, including groups, guest identities, enterprise applications, app registrations, RBAC, application permissions, authentication, and Conditional Access dependencies.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview: sensitivity labels, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), retention policies, and compliance controls.
Expert-level PowerShell scripting for automation, reporting, and enterprise-scale migration tasks (e.g., PnP.PowerShell, Microsoft Graph PowerShell SDK).
Experience with Microsoft Graph API, third-party integrations, and modern cloud-based architectures.
Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tooling (e.g. Git, DevOps) as applied to platform automation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proactively evaluates and pilots emerging technologies, staying ahead of trends rather than waiting for direction.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Clear, confident communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to mentor engineers and act as a technical escalation point across teams.
Comfortable operating with autonomy and making architecture/configuration decisions within governance guardrails.
Plus to have:

Familiarity with Atlassian products (Jira Service Management and Confluence).
Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, MS-700, SC-401, or equivalent, with a demonstrated interest in continued certification.
Experience with Azure development: Azure Automation, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Logic Apps.
