Decskill, a Lisbon-based IT consulting company, seeks a Senior Linux/Unix System Administrator with 10+ years of experience to join its team in Portugal. You will manage Linux systems, automate with Shell/Bash, Ansible and Puppet, and support production environments across physical and virtual infrastructures.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of professional experience in Linux/Unix System Administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux systems administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of Shell/Bash scripting and automation.
• Strong experience with Ansible and Puppet for configuration management and automation.
• Solid understanding of physical and virtual infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux services configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with out-of-band management technologies, such as Dell iDRAC and/or HPE iLO.
• Experience working in enterprise IT Operations and Infrastructure environments.
• Good understanding of system monitoring solutions such as Grafana, Checkmk/Check_MK, and/or Datadog is a plus.
• Knowledge of Git and CI/CD practices is a plus.
• Experience supporting production environments, including incident troubleshooting and operational support.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
