About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Lawyer with strong expertise in Public Procurement Law and Corporate Law (Societary) to strengthen our Legal & Corporate Affairs team. With 6–7 years of professional experience, you will play a key role in providing strategic legal guidance, ensuring compliance, and supporting the company in high-impact legal and governance matters.

Experience in Corporate Governance will be considered a significant advantage, as you will be involved in advising and supporting decision-making processes at management and board level.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and corporate agreements with a focus on risk management and compliance.
• Support the company’s corporate governance framework, including shareholder relations, board procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Advise on corporate law (direito societário) matters such as incorporations, restructurings, and statutory changes.
• Ensure continuous monitoring of legislation and regulation relevant to the business.
• Coordinate with external counsel, auditors, and regulators when required.
• Develop and enhance internal legal policies, procedures, and compliance structures.

Requirements

• Law degree (Licenciatura em Direito) from a reputable university; postgraduate or master’s in Public Procurement Law or Corporate Law is a plus.
• 6–7 years of experience in law firms or as in-house counsel, with a focus on public procurement and corporate law.
• Knowledge and experience in Corporate Governance will be highly valued.
• Member of the Portuguese Bar Association (Ordem dos Advogados) in good standing.
• Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a plus.
