Job summary

Imaginary Cloud, a remote-first software house, is looking for developers with a strong focus on Kotlin to build scalable server-side services. You will design distributed systems and microservices in cloud-native environments (AWS, Kubernetes) and work with PostgreSQL databases.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on global projects, enjoy flexible hours, and benefit from a human-centric culture that values people and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

5+ years of Kotlin server-side development experience.
Experience designing distributed systems and microservices in cloud-native environments.
Proficiency with PostgreSQL databases and SQL.
Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Testcontainers) and observability tools (Grafana).
Fluency in English; ability to work in Portugal or be eligible to work there.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Kotlin-based server-side services.
Design distributed systems and microservices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud-native deployments.
Write and run tests to ensure reliability.
Participate in problem-solving and performance tuning.
