A2IT Technology is seeking a Senior Java Technical Lead for a fully remote role based in Portugal. The candidate will guide technical direction, design complex Java-based solutions and oversee delivery on strategic initiatives.

The role requires strong Java expertise, leadership, and experience shaping architecture for international, cross-functional teams in Agile environments. Proficiency with Jira/Confluence and English fluency are essential.

Qualifications

Senior-level professional with up to 15 years of relevant experience.
Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
Strong Java expertise.
Experience in complex solution design and strategic projects.
Experience leading development/project teams.
Knowledge of GDPR.
Fluent English; Portuguese and/or Spanish valued.

Responsibilities

Providing technical leadership throughout the design and delivery of complex projects.
Designing and supporting the implementation of Java-based solutions.
Contributing to solution architecture and technical decision-making.
Analysing complex technical requirements and translating them into effective solutions.
Providing technical guidance to development and project teams.
Supporting best practices, problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Collaborating with international and cross-functional teams.
Working within Agile environments, using Jira and Confluence.
