The role emphasizes strong Java, Spring, REST APIs, and distributed systems expertise, with a hybrid work model in Lisbon and a focus on security, performance, and CI/CD practices.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of Java development experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance Java applications
• Contribute to the evolution of distributed systems responsible for risk calculation and analysis
• Collaborate with business, regulatory, and technical teams to translate requirements into robust solutions
• Develop software following best practices in security, scalability, maintainability, and performance
• Participate in software architecture and design discussions
• Review code and promote engineering excellence across the team
• Optimize existing applications and improve system reliability
• Implement and maintain automated testing strategiesContribute to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines
• Support software deployment, releases, and technical documentation
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams in a large-scale international environment

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience with Java development
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Framework, REST APIs, and Multithreading
• Solid understanding of Software Engineering principles and Computer Science fundamentals
• Experience with Distributed Systems and event-driven architectures
• Knowledge of technologies such as Kafka, Cassandra, Tomcat, Oracle Coherence, or similar
• Experience with Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and Acceptance Testing
• Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and related tools
• Experience developing scalable and high-throughput applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
