• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong experience with Java 21+.
• Spring Framework expertise and SQL knowledge.

• Develop and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications.

• Collaborate with production support for releases and maintenance.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a team responsible for developing and maintaining innovative digital platforms used within a global financial environment. You will contribute to the evolution of high-performance applications, working across the full software development lifecycle while collaborating with international teams and business stakeholders.

Work Model: Hybrid (2-3 days per week in the office - Lisbon)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Ensure applications are delivered with high standards of quality, security, and performance.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including technical analysis, documentation, development, testing, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with production support teams to ensure smooth releases and ongoing platform maintenance.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
• Provide L3 support when required, assisting with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Contribute to Agile development practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong experience with Java 21+.
• Solid knowledge of the Spring Framework.
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
• Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous processing in Java.
• Experience working with software testing and requirements analysis.
• Experience working on complex and evolving codebases.
• Frontend development experience with Angular is valued.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Exposure to financial services, capital markets, or investment banking environments is considered an advantage.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Professional proficiency in English.
