Tiko, a humanitarian tech nonprofit, is seeking a Java Engineering Team Lead to steer the Imara Impact backend. You will lead engineers, design and maintain features, and drive secure, scalable systems that support outcomes-based funding for women and girls.

Qualificações

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience focused on JVM languages.
• 3+ years of formal leadership experience managing a team of Java backend engineers, including responsibility for conducting team performance reviews.
• Experience within Microservices and AWS.
• Experience with the Spring framework and related Java backend tools.
• Salesforce CRM experience would be a plus.
• Based in Kenya or South Africa; excellent English skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop the individuals in your team and coordinate work.
• Design, develop, and maintain new features on the Imara Impact software.
• Participate in Agile rituals and practices as part of the team.
• Coordinate the work of the software engineering team and ensure delivery.
• Apply software engineering principles to design, develop, maintain, test, and evaluate software.
• Ensure software security and data protection, and document work clearly for future use.
