Job summary

CONKORD, a global high-tech powerhouse, is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our Lisbon/Porto team. You will design, develop, and optimize backend services using Java 21/25 and Spring Boot, building microservices and event-driven architectures with Kafka, while contributing to cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.

You should have 5+ years of software development experience, strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, and familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency with Java 21/25 and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing REST APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures (Kafka).
• Hands-on with Maven and CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain microservices, REST APIs and event-driven solutions using Kafka.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure code quality, security and performance.
