Job summary

act digital in Porto, Portugal, is looking for a Senior/Lead Developer to shape robust backend systems. You will design API-centric microservices using Java/Kotlin with Spring Boot, applying DDD and Clean Architecture while mentoring teams.

You will lead REST API design with OpenAPI, ensure code quality through unit and integration tests, and collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects and DevOps. Fluent French is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Developer or Lead Developer with backend focus.
• Expert Java and strong Kotlin skills required.
• Experience designing API-centric, microservices architectures.
• Fluent French mandatory; collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve software architecture focused on API-centric, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Apply and promote Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Clean Architecture principles.
• Design and develop robust backend services using Java / Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Lead REST APIs design with clear contracts, versioning, security, and OpenAPI documentation.
• Develop and maintain batch processing solutions using Spring Batch.
• Ensure high standards of code quality with unit and integration testing.
