Discovermarket is hiring a Senior Full-stack & Forward Deployed Engineer to help build a game-changing insurance tech startup. You will own features from idea to production across partner-delivery and core product teams, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to turn requirements into working software.

You will work with modern cloud-native architectures, microservices, and frontend frameworks (Angular).

You will create innovative products on modern cloud and microservices technology and own them from start to finish.You may work across two teams at once: a partner-account delivery team that customises and extends our platform (DCMP) for a specific partner’s business, and the core product team delivering the shared DCMP roadmap. You will also work directly with partners’ business and technical stakeholders to turn their requirements into working software, while continuing to contribute to the product. ### What you will do* Develop and understand the enterprise data landscape and map data stores and flows between the operational systems for our micro-service approach* Implementing the feature with high performance, scalable and testable components for our architecture and execute its development* Developing and deploying modern architectural patterns/techniques (microservices, DDD, TDD) including developing using modern frameworks, e.g. Spring Boot, Spring Cloud* Developing and deploying modern frontend microservices, enrich DM Storybook using the latest Angular version* Develop RESTful APIs and microservices-based solution leveraging containers (AKS, Kubernetes, Docker) technologies* Actively leverage AI coding assistants (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor) as part of daily development workflows to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and explore smarter solutions, while maintaining critical oversight of AI-generated output* Adopt shift-left testing approach by embedding automated tests early in the development lifecycle, writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests alongside feature code to catch defects sooner, reduce rework, and ensure continuous quality from the first line of code* Hold yourself accountable to high engineering standards, pay special attention to performance and scalability* Collaboration with architects, engineers and project teams to ensure engineering principles are met and built and act as a change agent* Write structured, well-documented, maintainable, and clean code* Demonstrate strong English communication skills (both verbal & written)* Utilize rapid prototyping techniques to accelerate time-to-market for our customers* Trend scouting around new technology* Contribute across two teams in parallel — a dedicated partner-account delivery team and the core discovermarket product team — balancing partner-specific delivery with shared product roadmap work* Customize, configure and extend the discovermarket platform (DCMP) to adapt it to a specific partner’s business processes, products and integration needs* Engage partner stakeholders directly — from business and operations teams to technical integrators — to gather requirements, shape solutions, and translate business needs into working software* Own end-to-end delivery of partner-account work, from discovery and ideation through production deployment, go-live and post-launch stabilisation* Rapidly absorb the partner’s domain and operating model to tailor embedded insurance journeys, white-labelled flows and APIs to their needs* Manage context-switching and competing priorities across the account team and the product team, keeping quality and commitments intact on both* Feed partner-specific learnings and reusable capabilities back into the core platform so account work strengthens the product for everyone### What we are looking for* Full-stack Engineer (3-5 years) / Senior Full-stack Engineer (5+ years) experience with architecting, developing and deploying modern cloud native solutions with micro-services architecture* Senior experience with designing solutions for managing highly complex business rules within the Azure/AWS ecosystem and cloud infrastructure* Extensive experience working with micro-services architecture and event-driven architecture* Prior work experience in Insurance consulting/architecture within a software and/or services company* Ability to decompose complex issues, find solutions and summarise* Manage and work autonomously on projects* Strong attention to detail and follow-up* Proven customer-facing / client-embedded engineering experience — comfortable owning partner stakeholder relationships and delivery outcomes directly* Excellent consulting and communication skills: able to bridge business and engineering, run working sessions, and present credibly to both technical and business stakeholders* Ability to work across two teams in parallel, manage shifting priorities, and operate autonomously in ambiguous, fast-changing, client-embedded settings* Ability to rapidly learn unfamiliar business domains (insurance lines, partner processes) and turn them into technical solutions### Why discovermarket* Competitive remuneration package* Premium healthcare for yourself and family members* Generous year-end bonus and annual leave* Monthly meal allowance* Christmas and Holiday allowance* A solid business and technical team behind you* A pleasant, enthusiastic, international work environment* Opportunity for traveling & working in Southeast Asia* Latest technologies, flexible working hours* And many more to come.*discovermarket is committed to diversity and inclusion.
