Job summary

Xelerate is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Porto to help build and operate a cloud foundation for a European B2B marketplace. You’ll collaborate with Java/Quarkus and Angular teams to ensure automated, reliable, and secure platforms that scale in Azure.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in DevOps, strong Azure skills (AKS, ACR, Key Vault), Docker/Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform/Bicep), and GitOps experience. Remote-friendly role with competitive salary and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps, Platform, or Cloud engineering roles.
• Hands-on Microsoft Azure experience, incl. AKS, ACR, Key Vault and monitoring.
• Strong Docker/Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform/Bicep), and CI/CD tooling

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for Java/Quarkus backend and Angular frontend.
• Manage container workloads on AKS with Helm and scale deployments.
• Provision cloud infra as code using Terraform or Bicep.
• Implement observability with Azure Monitor, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Enforce platform security including secret management and IAM (Entra ID).

# DevOps EngineerPorto · Full-timeYou have the opportunity to join our team and tackle business challenges in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment characterized by close collaboration with business stakeholders.As a **DevOps Engineer**, you will help build and operate the cloud foundation behind a **European B2B marketplace platform** for a leading European trade and services cooperation connecting thousands of suppliers and hundreds of retailers. The platform brings a growing set of digital services for retail and industry together in one place, running cloud-native on **Microsoft Azure**.Working closely with fullstack engineers developing Java/Quarkus backend services and Angular frontends, you will ensure the platform is automated, reliable, secure, and ready to scale.**Your Role and Responsibilities:*** **CI/CD Pipelines:** Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps Pipelines and/or GitHub Actions) for Java/Quarkus backend services and Angular frontend applications.* **Kubernetes Operations:** Manage and operate containerized workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including deployments, scaling, and configuration using Helm.* **Infrastructure as Code:** Provision and manage cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform and/or Bicep, keeping environments consistent and reproducible.* **Observability:** Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and/or Prometheus and Grafana.* **Platform Security:** Apply security best practices across the platform, including secrets management with Azure Key Vault, identity and access management (Entra ID), and container image scanning.* **Developer Experience & Reliability:** Support development teams with build tooling, container registries (Azure Container Registry), and environment setup, helping improve delivery speed.
