Job summary

Hook in Porto seeks a Senior Financial Market Business Analyst to analyze trading workflows, link front-office needs with technical solutions, and drive growth across electronic platforms. You will collaborate with front-office teams, parse logs, run SQL and Python scripts, and support the integration of Forex trading platforms.

You will work in an agile environment and communicate in English and Portuguese with international stakeholders, taking ownership and leading projects within your domain.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in financial markets, trading systems, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of Forex and electronic trading.
• Proficiency in SQL and Unix commands, with experience developing and troubleshooting scripts.
• Technical inclination, comfortable working with logs, debugging issues, and developing Python solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial market participants, products, and trading workflows to optimize operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with front-office teams, translating their needs into technical requirements and solutions.
• Investigate technical issues by parsing logs via Unix commands, executing SQL queries, and developing Python scripts as needed.
• Support the integration and enhancement of Forex and electronic trading platforms.
• Work within an agile environment, adopting and promoting Agile principles across tasks and projects.
