Job summary

Organon seeks an experienced SAP Vertex Indirect Tax Architect to lead tax design, configuration, and integration across SAP S/4HANA, Vertex, and Coupa. You will oversee indirect tax processes, ensure compliance, and coordinate with Finance, Supply, and Tax teams in a complex pharma environment.

The role requires hands-on Vertex implementation, strong accounting knowledge, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision while aligning with enterprise controls and documentation

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years relevant functional and technical experience in Indirect taxes, specifically SAP FI/CO, Tax bolt on Vertex 9.0, Chain flow Accelerator tool, LCRD tool, Vendor reconciliation tool.
• Experience in implementing and configuring SAP Document and Reporting Compliance modules such as e-invoicing/Reporting, withholding tax, and real-time reporting.
• Work with IT and business stakeholders to analyze, test, and implement TAX-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert to guide technology strategy for Tax Design and configure native tax processes to SAP S/4HANA ecosystem and integrating Vertex.
• Collaborate with business partners to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Ensure compliance solution configuration meets business goals and leading practices.
• Conduct architectural reviews and assessments to identify risks and mitigation.
• Maintain cross-system dependencies and provide impact analysis for changes and releases.
