Job summary

NordicEPOD is seeking an experienced EPLAN Designer to join our Engineering team and support the development of electrical documentation for EPOD and industrial projects. You will develop accurate electrical documentation using EPLAN Electric P8, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of hands-on experience with EPLAN Electric P8, strong knowledge of electrical schematics and panel design, and fluency in English and Portuguese.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with EPLAN Electric P8.
• 2–5 years of recent experience in electrical schematic design for industrial panels and automation systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, panel design, control circuits, power distribution, and industrial automation.
• Experience producing cable lists, termination lists, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and complete electrical documentation packages.
• Practical experience with terminals, relays, contactors, drives, PLC/I/O interfaces, instrumentation, and power supplies.
• Experience reading and implementing engineering mark-ups, redlines, revisions, and as‑built documentation.
• Knowledge of electrical regulations, CE requirements, quality procedures, and HSE expectations.
• Good written and spoken English and Portuguese.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical schematics in EPLAN Electric P8 for panels, control boards, switchboards, and cabinets.
• Prepare cable lists, termination lists, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and complete electrical drawing packages.
• Develop documentation for power distribution, control circuits, instrumentation, PLC/I/O interfaces, and industrial automation systems.
• Interpret customer specifications, markups, and redlines into accurate EPLAN documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective project coordination.
• Provide technical support to production and commissioning during panel assembly, wiring, testing, and commissioning.
