Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Systems Software Engineer to join our team. Your responsibilities will involve developing firmware for wireless devices using modern IoT protocols (BLE, Zigbee, Matter, etc.), integrating IoT devices into existing ecosystems such as Amazon, Control4, Legrand, and contributing to our own product lines. Projects include firmware development for MCUs and wireless SoCs (RTOS or bare-metal) and embedded Linux development.

• IoT gateways or smart-home centers supporting multiple IoT protocols simultaneously
• Sensors for smart-home systems that manage environmental conditions
• Wearables for sport and everyday life
• Smart devices for pets that allow control of health, location, and access

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing firmware for wireless devices and/or embedded Linux-based systems
• Collaborating with client teams and interacting with clients directly

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in embedded systems
• BS degree in a relevant field
• Excellent C/C++ development skills
• Experience debugging firmware for MCUs (OS-less, RTOS, or embedded Linux) and/or Linux development on various hardware platforms
• Ability to independently develop software components and communicate effectively with team members
• Teamwork and understanding of existing codebases
• Design, documentation, and implementation of software subsystems
• Participation in meetings and discussions to understand customer needs
• Proficient in technical English

Will be a Plus

• Experience with communication protocols (UART, USB, TCP, UDP, TLS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, MQTT, HTTP, Modbus, etc.)
• Experience with wireless networks: Zigbee, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Z-Wave, etc.
• Experience with embedded systems on FreeRTOS, Zephyr, Linux, or similar including kernel-level development
• Experience integrating devices with cloud services
• Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages (Lua, Perl, sh, etc.)
• Experience in technical team management
• Optimizing code size and performance
• Maintaining large existing codebases
• Unix-like system administration
• Experience working with distributed teams
• Fluent English
