Talkdesk, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Platform Engineering to lead strategy, architecture, and execution for the Platform Engineering function.

You will align cloud, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, security, and automation into a coherent platform strategy and drive a high-performing organization of platform engineers. The role demands deep technical judgment, strong leadership, and the ability to partner with executive stakeholders to shape platform investments and governance.

Qualificações

• Significant leadership experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or equivalent large-scale engineering organizations.
• Proven track record leading multiple teams and developing managers and senior ICs.
• Strong background in distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, and large-scale production platforms.
• Deep expertise across AWS/GCP/Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, platform security, and developer tooling.

Responsabilidades

• Define and own the multi-year Platform Engineering strategy, architecture, and roadmap.
• Lead the evolution of the Internal Developer Platform, creating self-service capabilities to accelerate software delivery.
• Own strategic direction across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, IaC, and platform security.
• Lead and develop Engineering Directors, Managers, Principal/Staff Engineers, and platform teams.
• Establish ownership, engineering standards, governance, and measurable platform outcomes.
• Drive improvements in developer productivity, delivery performance, reliability, scalability, security, and infrastructure efficiency.
• Ensure platform services are highly available, fault-tolerant, scalable, and secure.
• Embed secure-by-default principles, policy-as-code, and software supply-chain controls into the platform.
• Drive automation of infrastructure, delivery, operations, and production readiness.
• Explore AI and agentic automation to improve platform operations and developer workflows.
• Influence cross-organizational strategy and budget decisions related to infrastructure.
