Job summary

Decskill, part of the Astek Group, is growing and seeking a Senior DevOps engineer. The role emphasizes platform engineering and data engineering with strong Python, AWS, and CI/CD experience.

Hybrid work in Lisbon, with on-site presence one day per week, plus periodic on-site workshops and events. You will contribute to architectural decisions, automation, and infrastructure reviews while collaborating with a large, international team across Europe.

Qualifications

• Senior-level DevOps experience, preferably in platform engineering or data engineering.
• Strong Python development skills, including classes, metaprogramming, data classes, type validation, API development and algorithmic patterns.
• Experience developing Python Lambda handlers, data transformation applications and automation scripts.
• Working knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM and CloudWatch.
• Experience with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, conventional commits and merge requests.
• Proficiency in shell scripting and command-line tools for operational automation.
• Ability to support architectural decisions and review infrastructure and automation code.
