Hovione, a leading global contract development and manufacturing company, is seeking a senior Architect/Engineer to lead site master planning and long-term capacity strategy in a pharma network. You will translate business strategy into scalable engineering solutions, define URS, and supervise project execution with a focus on safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

Lead site master planning and long-term facility capacity strategy aligned with business growth and manufacturing network needs
Translatebusiness strategy and operational requirementsinto practical, scalable engineering and design solutions
Define and contribute toUser Requirement Specifications (URS), ensuring alignment with process needs, ergonomics, productivity, and user wellbeing
Supervise project execution to ensure delivery:
On time
Within budget
In compliance withcGMP, HSE, and regulatory standards
Supportbudget definition, planning, and timeline management, ensuring realistic and achievable project execution
Identify, assess, and mitigateproject risks, proactively resolving technical and operational challenges
Collaborate within amatrix organization, working closely with:
Engineering
Operations
Quality & Compliance
Procurement
External suppliers and contractors
Support Purchasing insupplierselectionand contract awarding, ensuringoptimaltechnical solutions andsupport technical bid evaluations and supplierselection
Drive implementation ofadvanced technologies and engineering standardstooptimizesafety, quality, reliability, and cost efficiency
Capturelessons learned and user feedbackto improve future projects
Lead and contribute tocontinuous improvement initiatives, including:
Engineering processes
CAPEX optimization
Productivity enhancements
Represent the company in interactions withexternal authorities and regulatory bodies, asrequired
Promote innovation and support the development ofintellectual property (IP)
Providetechnical guidanceas ArchitectureSME,supporting Internaland externaldesign teams, ensuringhigh standardsin design and execution
Define facility layout strategies ensuring GMP-compliant flows, segregation principles, and cleanroom zoning concepts
Act asArchitecturedesign authority, defining and governing global architectural standards acrossHovionefacilities
Integrate sustainability and energy efficiency principles into facility design and master planning
University degree inArchitectureorEngineering (Civilorequivalent)
Architectural background is strongly preferred, particularly with experience in industrial or master planning environments
Experience
Minimum10 years of experiencein industrial or construction project environments;15+ years preferred
Proven experience in:
Facility design and master planning
End-to-endproject execution in operational environments
MultidisciplinarArchitecture&engineeringprojects
Working withinmatrix organizations and complex stakeholder environments
Industry Experience
Experience inPharma or Healthcare environmentsconsidered a plus
Experience inFood or other regulated industriesstrongly preferred
