Job summary

CI&T is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and industrialize scalable data pipelines. You will focus on dbt workflows, data contracts, and reliable data for rule compliance across countries and segments. You will work with Python, SQL, DuckDB, and PostgreSQL in Azure environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions meet business needs and drive governance, quality, and maintainability across the data platform.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in software engineering with a focus on data engineering or data-intensive applications.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with dbt and building data transformation pipelines.
• Experience with DuckDB and PostgreSQL, including data migration and query optimization.
• Experience with Azure cloud environments.
• Understanding of data modeling, data quality, versioning, and data contracts.
• Ability to design reusable solutions that support scalability and maintainability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Industrialize and optimize dbt pipelines, migrating data workflows and retiring interim solutions.
• Own versioning of scope and constraints for data processes.
• Define and maintain data contracts ensuring data availability and quality for rule compliance.
• Build reusable onboarding processes to support expansion into new countries and segments.
• Develop and maintain data transformation workflows using Python, SQL, dbt, and PostgreSQL.
• Contribute to data architecture decisions and pipeline reliability.
