Capgemini Engineering is seeking an experienced Data Platform Architect to define target architectures, standards and roadmaps for a scalable cloud data platform. You will review pilots, drive standardisation, and support implementation with structured knowledge transfer across the group.

The role emphasizes governance, lakehouse patterns, and propagation of architectural excellence, with an emphasis on hybrid advisory + delivery and regular on-site work in Geneva.

Qualificações

• Strong, proven experience in cloud data platform architecture, ideally on AWS.
• Experience with data platform and database architecture, including enterprise-scale data platform design.
• Experience with migration-oriented target architecture design, aligned to a broader cloud migration strategy.
• Familiarity with lakehouse and medallion architecture patterns, incl. Apache Iceberg and S3 tables.
• Track record of governance, standardisation, scalability and industrialisation.
• Ability to produce target architectures, standards and blueprints, and contribute to implementation roadmaps.
• Client- and business-oriented with strong planning and organisation skills.
• Able to operate in a hybrid advisory + delivery model with regular on-site presence in Geneva.

YOUR ROLE

• Define the target data platform architecture and produce the architectural principles, standards and blueprints that make it technically robust and operationally sustainable.
• Review the current pilot architecture and provide clear recommendations for completion, stabilisation and scaling across the group.
• Drive industrialisation, governance and standardisation, actively reducing over-complexity and limiting duplicated processing (“double run”).
• Support the implementation lead with architectural decision-making and contribute to the definition and sequencing of the implementation roadmap.
• Enable internal teams through structured knowledge transfer, which is a mandatory outcome of the workstream.

• A validated target data lake architecture for the workstream.
• An architecture review of the current pilot, with recommendations for completion and scaling.
• Architecture standards and blueprints that support industrialisation and reuse.
• An architectural contribution to the overall implementation roadmap.
• Technical stakeholder support and knowledge-transfer materials.

YOUR PROFILE

• Strong, proven experience in cloud data platform architecture, ideally on AWS.
• Strong experience in data platform and database architecture, including enterprise-scale data platform design.
• Experience with migration-oriented target architecture design, aligned to a broader cloud migration strategy.
• Solid familiarity with lakehouse and medallion architecture patterns, in particular architectures built on Apache Iceberg and S3 tables.
• A track record of designing for governance, standardisation, scalability and industrialisation.
• The ability to produce target architectures, standards and blueprints, and to contribute to implementation roadmap definition.
• Client- and business-oriented, with strong planning and organisation skills.
• Rigorous and process-focused, with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Able to operate in a hybrid advisory + delivery model, with regular on-site presence in Geneva.
