Capgemini Engineering seeks a data engineering specialist to lead and implement cloud-based data pipelines and lakehouse architectures, with emphasis on AWS and S3-backed data platforms.

In a hybrid advisory + delivery model, you will coordinate with internal teams to align architecture decisions with practical, scalable implementations, and coach stakeholders through knowledge transfer and operations readiness.

Qualificações

• Experience in delivering data engineering implementations in cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience with data pipelines and optimisation under cloud environments.
• Ability to translate architecture decisions into actionable work packages.
• Experience supporting migration-related implementations within cloud strategies.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the implementation backlog and coordinate day-to-day engineering activities to complete and stabilise the in-scope pilot components.
• Deliver hands-on completion and optimisation of data pipelines, translating architecture decisions into implementable work packages.
• Prepare the solution for industrialisation, reducing complexity and minimising duplicated processing.
• Coordinate with the internal Data Platform team and cloud orchestration for practical integration and adoption.
• Coach internal stakeholders and provide technical handover and knowledge transfer.
• Develop a delivery execution plan to support pilot finalisation against milestones.
• Carry out hands-on completion and optimisation of in-scope data pipelines.
• Contribute to target architecture, technical standards, and implementation sequencing.

YOUR ROLE

• Lead the implementation backlog and coordinate day-to-day engineering activities to complete and stabilise the in-scope pilot components.
• Deliver hands‑on completion and optimisation of data pipelines, translating architecture decisions into implementable work packages.
• Prepare the solution for industrialisation, reducing complexity and minimising duplicated processing (“double run”).
• Coordinate closely with the internal Data Platform team and cloud orchestration to ensure practical integration and adoption.
• Coach internal stakeholders and provide technical handover and operational knowledge transfer, which is a mandatory outcome of the workstream.
• A delivery execution plan supporting pilot finalisation against the agreed milestone.
• Hands‑on completion and optimisation of the in‑scope data pipelines.
• Implementation support for the target architecture and technical standards.
• A contribution to the implementation roadmap and the sequencing of industrialisation steps.
• Technical coaching, handover and operational knowledge‑transfer materials.

YOUR PROFILE

• Strong experience in data engineering implementation within cloud‑based data platforms, ideally on AWS.
• Strong experience in data pipeline implementation and optimisation.
• A good understanding of data platform architecture, enabling you to translate architecture decisions into implementable work packages.
• Experience supporting migration‑related implementation aligned to a broader cloud migration strategy.
• Familiarity with the target architecture context: lakehouse / medallion architecture built on Apache Iceberg and S3 tables.
• The ability to contribute to standards and blueprints, implementation sequencing and the technical enablement of internal teams.
• Client‑and business‑oriented, with strong planning and organisation skills.
• Rigorous and process‑focused, with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Able to operate in a hybrid advisory + delivery model, with regular on‑site presence in Geneva.
