A consultancy firm in Lisbon is searching for a Senior Data Analyst/Business Intelligence Analyst to enhance data analytics and governance. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in data engineering and analytics, strong proficiency in SQL and Power BI, and exceptional communication skills. Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, or BI roles.
• Experience with SQL, data modeling, and ETL development.
• Proficiency in visualization tools, preferably Power BI.
• Proficiency in BI tools, especially Power BI, with governance knowledge.
• Experience with Snowflake, Azure, Databricks or similar platforms.
• Experience implementing metrics frameworks (OKRs, KPI models).
• Understanding of DataOps/AnalyticsOps and how to apply to analytics delivery.
• Excellent communication and collaboration; translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Fluency in English (oral and written).

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst/Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team and contribute to data analytics, governance, and the delivery of insightful metrics and dashboards across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field;
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, or BI roles, with strong exposure to data operations, governance, or enablement;
• Proven adoption of a business-driven perspective applied to data analytics;
• Experience with SQL, dimensional data modeling, and ETL/data pipeline development;
• Proficiency in BI and visualization tools (Power BI preferred), with understanding of data visualization governance and scalability;
• Hands-on experience with data and analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, Databricks, or similar);
• Experience contributing to or leading the implementation of metrics frameworks (e.g., V2MOM, OKRs, KPI-based models);
• Solid understanding of DataOps and AnalyticsOps principles, and how to apply them to real-world analytics delivery;
• Ability to define, implement, and enforce analytics governance standards across multidisciplinary teams;
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate business and operational needs into sustainable technical solutions;
• A resilient, persistent, and motivated attitude — able to lead by example and influence through credibility and consistency;
• Experience managing by influence across data teams, fostering alignment and shared accountability;
• Fluency in English, spoken and written (mandatory).
