Gleeds in Sines, Portugal seeks a Cost Manager to join the on-site Commercial Management team for the data centre project. You will support change management and payments, delivering high-quality services within the agreed scope, programme, and budget.

Responsibilities include reviewing changes, estimates and payment applications, maintaining audit trails, and providing cost and commercial advice to project teams.

Qualificações

• Sound post‑contract cost management experience on large‑scale construction projects, preferably data centres or similar.
• Proven change management experience including assessment, administration, tracking and reporting of project changes.
• Knowledge of valuations, payment applications, certification or recommendations and related processes.
• Understanding of legislation and contractual provisions affecting building contracts.
• Clear and effective communication, both oral and written.
• Strong organisational skills and adaptability to changing environments.
• Fluent English; Portuguese language skills are desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Support Directors in delivering business objectives on the project.
• Manage and deliver change management and payment services per Gleeds procedures.
• Identify, review, approve, implement and close out project changes.
• Review change requests and contractor quotations for cost, contractual, programme and risk implications.
• Maintain change registers and audit trails.
• Provide cost and commercial advice on proposed and instructed changes.
• Review payment applications and valuations of completed work.
• Assess progress against scope and prepare payment recommendations or certificates.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely and accurate recording of changes and payments.
• Prepare and present regular change management, payment, cost and commercial reports.
• Identify and manage cost‑related risks and opportunities.
• Support resolution of commercial issues and payment disputes as required.
• Integrate change management and payment activities into overall project delivery.
• Manage service delivery to the agreed scope, programme and budget while maintaining profitability.
• Inform Directors promptly of issues that could affect projects or Gleeds PI insurance.
