Job summary

VASS is seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect to lead architectural decisions across multi-region programs, focusing on microservices, cloud strategy, data governance, and system integration. You will shape the architecture framework, define reference models, and establish templates for delivery teams.

You will collaborate with Development, DevOps, Frontend and Data groups to drive the evolution roadmap from legacy systems to modern cloud-native architectures.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years in software architecture roles.
• Deep knowledge of microservices, modular architecture, APIs and event-driven design.
• Extensive Azure cloud architecture experience including multi-region deployments.
• Strong data architecture knowledge: ownership, quality, migration risk.
• Experience with SAFe/Agile Release Trains and DevSecOps.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data privacy in distributed systems.
• Security-by-design principles in distributed architectures.
• Proven ability to modernise monolithic apps to cloud-native microservices.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, and detail the architecture framework for the LIMS, including guidelines, components, reference models, and templates for cross-team use.
• Define and oversee the evolution roadmap from legacy to target solution with dependencies and mitigation plans.
• Design technical solutions and recommend tools/services, participating in PoC evaluations as needed.
• Participate in requirements gathering with users, Product Owner, and analysis team.
• Ensure solutions comply with regulations established by DPO and Cybersecurity directorate.
• Define and enforce integration patterns with ERP, eQMS, EMS, and other systems.
• Act as technical reference and mentor for delivery teams, promoting best practices.
• Communicate architectural decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Produce ADRs, reference architectures, roadmaps and backlog items.
