DuckDuckGo is seeking a Senior C++/Chromium Engineer to join the remote-first team building high-performance browser components. You will focus on modern C++ (C++23+), memory management, concurrency, and profiling, delivering privacy-focused features across a large consumer audience.

You'll lead end-to-end projects from proposal to post-mortem, collaborate with design and product mostly asynchronously, and help keep the browser fast and secure as it grows.

Formación

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Advanced modern C++ (C++23+) expertise with memory management, concurrency and profiling.
• Experience driving technical work end-to-end on large-scale C++ codebases.
• Strong problem-solving with metrics and data-driven decisions.
• Experience shipping software to a large consumer audience.
• Comfort with large build systems, debuggers and profilers.
• Bonus: Windows development experience.
• Bonus: browsers or game engines experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead complex projects from proposal through post-mortem with measurable impact.
• Build high-performance C++/Chromium components in a large browser codebase.
• Collaborate with design and product, mostly asynchronously.
• Implement tracker blocking and privacy features in the browser.
• Ensure performance and responsiveness as the product scales.
