Job summary

Capgemini Engineering seeks a senior modeller to lead data harmonization and ontology governance for scientifically driven data products. You will translate complex requirements into canonical models, define identifiers and provenance, and steer schema lifecycle across teams including data engineering and product management.

You will mentor junior modelers, ensure robust validation and lineage, and drive best practices in FAIR data product design within a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of scientific or biomedical data modelling experience with senior ownership.
• Strong modelling across conceptual, logical and canonical data models.
• Experience with LinkML or equivalent schema frameworks and ontology bindings.
• Proven data harmonization and provenance capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead modelling strategy for data harmonization, pipelines, and FAIR data products.
• Translate requirements into canonical data models and ontology decisions.
• Define identifiers, provenance fields, and schema governance standards.
• Review, version, and publish schema changes in GitHub.
• Design validation rules and data quality checks across assets.
• Mentor junior and mid-level modelers.
