Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Mid-Senior Data Scientist in Portugal to design, build, and govern data foundations for life sciences projects. You will bridge scientific, engineering, and product stakeholders and drive scalable, FAIR data solutions.

You will work on data models, pipelines, and knowledge graphs, applying ML and Gen AI to extract insights at scale while ensuring provenance and interoperability. Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.

Qualificações

• MSc or PhD in a biomedical/biomedical informatics field.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to drive alignment across teams.
• Data modelling and harmonization across complex biomedical domains.
• Strong Python and SQL skills; building data pipelines and EDA.
• Applied data science/ML experience related to graphs or scientific data.
• Strong communication with technical and business stakeholders.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.

Responsabilidades

• Design and govern biomedical data models across domains.
• Build and maintain data pipelines in Python and SQL.
• Develop knowledge graphs using RDF/OWL/SPARQL and graph databases.
• Apply ML and Gen AI to extract insights from scientific data.
• Ensure FAIR data principles and provenance in products.
• Align stakeholders with clear documentation across disciplines.
• Work with ontologies and vocabularies (Ensembl, UniProt, Gene Ontology).
